Spirit of prophesy

2Peter 1:21
for prophesy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

In the christian life we will face trials and difficulties as Jesus said.... "in this world, you will have tribulation..." in difficult circumstances we must always stick close to God... God always has a word of prophecy for every season for your life.... the Spirit of prophesy is the Holy Spirit's comfort and revelation for this current season for your life... I personally receive this Word recently thru Ulf Ekman's online webcast... and i felt it was the Word in season for my life... the Spirit of prophesy... this is the Word I received... may it bless you :" let there be joy in adverse circumstances, beauty instead of ashes, summer's over... spring is coming....restore the joy of your salvation....i bless your spirit...i bless your emotion...i bless your soul...i bless your finances... i bless your job... " Let the Holy Spirit minister these sames Words over you...

Seeking God's face

Isaiah 30:16-17
For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel:
" In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength." But you would not, and you said, :No, for we will flee on horses" - Therefore you shall flee! And, " We will ride on swift horses" - Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift! One thousand shall flee at the threat of one, at the threat of five you shall flee, till you are left as a pole on top of a mountain and as a banner on a hill.

Many a times we read in the book of proverbs of how we should be diligent and work hard and do well in life.... however... we must always remember that we should stay in the realm of what God want us to do... working hard is important but we must always differentiate between good works and dead works... Ephesians states we are created in Christ Jesus for good works... there are good works that God wants us to focus in and do them excellently with diligence... there are also dead works which God has not want us to be involve in...... in the above passage we saw a situation that God wanted His people to wait on Him and not be too much in a hurry to ride on their swift horses... which means dun juz do dead works or works that God has not directed.... the best measuring guide is to follow the peace of God in whatever we do... in the good works that God create us to do.. we should do them diligently and excellently... but the dead works that God has not directed or give peace about we should avoid them....

Isaiah 30:18
Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.

Psalm 27:8
When You said, "Seek My face," My heart said to You, "Your face, Lord, I will seek."

Psalm 32:8-9
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.

Waiting

Psalm 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Afflictions are not the same as the curse of the law.... the curse of the law is sickness and disease and destructions and so forth... the bible says that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law... having become a curse for us when He hang on the cross.... so wat is the affliction that God allow us to go thru? it is more likely the blessing of God which causes envy and jeolousy of the people or waiting for His promises to come to pass... Joseph was so blessed that his brothers envied him and threw him into the pit... God kept prospering him thru the dungeon to Potiphar to Pharaoh side... God kept prospering him... yet there was affliction of jeolousy of his brothers or even false accusation from Potiphar's wife and even waiting in jail for the promise of being the Prime Minister of Israel... all these are the affliction of the righteous...

Today whatever you are going thru... dun lose heart... keep believing and trusting Him.

Blessed man

Jeremiah 17:5-8
Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but tis leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor cease from yielding fruit.

Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly.... however this life flows when we put our trust in His Word and promises..... when we turn our eyes from man toward God... we enter the rest of God... we come into faith... and as we put our trust in Him the flow of God or the peace of God begins to flow thru us and work in us.... in the year of drought and difficulty.. .God doesnt want us to look to men or to arm of flesh.. but to look to Him for counsel and hope... He doesnt disappoint us... today... make a decision to keep believing in His promises and remember that Hope does not disappoint becos the love of God has been poured out to us thru the Holy Spirit...

Sowing in famine

Genesis 26:1
There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar.

Famine is a difficult situation.... in todays economy.... we are seeing a recession right now.... which refes to a famine.... a famine can also be a difficult situation in your life... be it... financially... in family... or whatever difficult situation in you are in... God expects us to trust Him in famine... and continue to sow in famine...

Genesis 26:12-14
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.

If you are a businessman... in times of recession... keep sowing to ur customers... keep sowing... keep educating them... keep improving your service to them... keep growing yourself.... as you do this... you are actually sowing in the land of famine... and you can reap in the same year a hundredfold... remember the law of harvest is seed, time and harvest... isaac reap in the same year one hundred fold and continued being blessed... you are a child of Abraham juz like Isaac and have the same blessings of Abraham as Isaac... so this verse speaks concerning you... keep sowing.. and keep trusting.... Jesus died to give you the blessing of Abraham by faith in Jesus... if you are a housewife... keep sowing to your children... keep educating them... keep growing yourself with the bible... and as your do this you will reap a hundred fold to your family life...

Believing instead of being discouraged

Romans 5:3-5
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and peseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of GOd has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Tribulation comes in many forms.... however God has a remedy... our faith... our trust in Him and hope in His promise will encourage us... Dun look at the circumstance... lift it up to God... look at His promises... the promise gives hope and hope never disappoint... sometimes we depend on circumstance instead of looking at the promise... but circumstance will kill our faith at times...

Romans 4:14
For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect.

Quit looking at the circumstances... how how much u lack behind.. and how others seemed to have it all together.... God wants us to look at His promises... and believe in it you must... or discouragement will set in........ Lets believe at the promise together and not look at ourselves... at others..... or how much we seemed to lack... all these voids our faith........ lets look at the promise and believe together... and Hope will never disappoint... becos of God's love.... the promise to all of us who believe in Jesus... that we become children of Abraham and the promise to Abraham is to us... refer to Galatians.... believe in the promises...

Genesis 12:1-3
Now the Lord had said to Abram,:
"Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in your all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

Narrow Path

Matthew 7:13-14
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Narrow path is neither the way of legalism not the way of lawlessness.... legalism is basing our right standing with GOd based on activities rather then Jesus Himself... in other words following additional rules, activities, man-made traditions above God's Word and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 7:22
"Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?"

Works righteousness is aform of legalism... belongs also to the broad path... works righteousness means going back to system of rules that God did not demand to base our standing before GOd.. this is also known as own righteousness or self righteousness Legalism is also an outlet of the flesh...

Mark 7:8a
For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men.

Romans 10:3
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

Legalism would cause christians to fall from grace... in other words from falling from a position of favor and blessing in Jesus....

Galatians 5:4
You have become estrangled from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by the law; you have fallen from grace.

Legalism is also an outlet for the flesh... Jesus rebuked the pharisees for praying to put up a show... for pretense and hypocrisy to have glory from man...

Galatians 6:12
As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

So we see examples that being legalistic or doing additional things in the name of GOd is not God's Will...

Galatians 6:13
For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh.

We see legalism and lawlessness combined in the pharisees...

Legalism is not the way of narrow path.... neither is lawlessness... Lawlessness is abusing God's grace to gratify one's fleshly pleasure.... many forms of lawlessness... one can be legalistic and even lawless at the same time.... the pharisees were legalistic and lawless in their hearts...

Matthew 7: 23
And then I will declare to them, I never knew you, depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!

Matthew 23:28
Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Lawlessness is also using liberty for the flesh... so wats the narrow way?

Narrow way is following Jesus... Jesus said not to go back to legalism... also not to use liberty for the flesh... the narrow way is also the life of liberty... and freedom... not freedom to sin... but freedom from legalism... freedom to follow Jesus and Holy Spirit...

Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do nto be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

Narrow way is also where we find His yoke which is easy... and His burden light.... Matthew 7 says that the narrow way is difficult which leads to life means there will be persecution and trials... Jesus was persecuted by religion in His days... we will be persecuted by legalistic people of our day... Jesus was loved by many sinners but He din compromised with them.... we will see that in the narrow way too.... there will be sufferings... but there will be a yoke that is easy.. and a burden that is light... Legalism unsettles the believers heart.... the gospel liberates and sets free... thats the reason Paul was persecuted.... by the Jews... by the religious people... cos Paul preach to set them free... not freedom to sin... freedom from legalism.... Legalism unsettles ur heart... making demands that GOd didnt make...

Acts 15:24
Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying "You must be circumcised and keep the law" - to whom we gave no such commandment.

I want encourage all believers to walk the narrow path.. follow Jesus... however never go to legalism... since legalism sounds hard and cold and makes it similar to carrying the cross... following legalism is never the same as picking your cross and following Jesus... that was what Jesus and Paul was against.... Following Jesus has sufferings and persecution... that is carrying the cross... carrying the cross has obedience to Jesus... not legalism... its very close... we must differentiate... cos God has given us a sound mind and not spirit of fear to know wat it meant by carrying the cross.... legalism is not carrying the cross and following Jesus and walking the narrow path.... neither is lawlessness... narrow path is following Jesus... His yoke is easy... His burden is light... even in the midst of persecution and sufferings... we still enjoy liberty and freedom in the Spirit.. and we rejoice in the midst of it.... Hallelujah!

So after we have been saved by grace thru faith in Jesus... we have peace with GOd... and we follow the peace of God on a daily basis... this is the narrow path... in the narrow path there is peace... righteousness... joy... when we believe by faith in Jesus... we enter the narrow path.. and we keep believing in Jesus and following Him.. and praying to Him for directions and He will guide us daily.... and there will be sufferings... there sill be hope deferred... there will be persecution... but the yoke is easy... the burden is light.... when you sin in the narrow path... quickly repent and ask for forgiveness and receive GOD's mercy... and continue walking in the narrow path by believing in Jesus and following Him... remember... salvation is a gift by grace... we cant earn it... only can receive by believing in Jesus... so after that... we walk in narrow path by following Him thru Holy Spirit... and keep believing in hope for God's promises.... and Jesus will come back for His church....

Revelation 7:9-10
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, af all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues, standing before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, sayng, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.
