Hebrews 13:5
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
As christians we must always be thankful for the very fact of His presence that is with us becos of what Jesus did on the cross.... His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us helps us know that we don't have to desire after wrong things... which is covetousness... covetousness is the lust for someting that we cant be happy without it... God wants us to know His presence and love can satisfy us... we do not need a bunch of things... we need His presence... to abide with Him can satisfy our hunger...
1 Timothy 6:6
Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
Desire is not wrong... but lust is... the difference is very simple... desire can wait while lust cannot... i.e Abraham had a desire to be Father of many nation... it can be a lust if he cant wait patiently and push by his own strength to produce one outside of God's timing.... God had to assure Abraham that God]s presence is Abraham's ultimate reward.. and Abraham's desire will come to pass in God's timing.... meanwhile rest in God's presence...
Genesis 15:1
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, "DO not be afraid, Abram, I am your shield, your exceeding great reward."
God is saying the same thing to you.... watever your desire is... God knows... God does not want it to be lust... so you must learn to love His presence and be contented in His presence till the right time the promise come.... be contented with His presence above ur desire.... Ultimately God will surely bring His promise for your life at the right time... meanwhile... be contented by His presence... for He will never leave you nor forsake you :)
