Unity and friendship part 1

Psalm 133:1-3
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down the beard, the beard of Aaron, runnign down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing - life forevermore.

God loves unity and friendship... especially true friendships.... to have friends we must learn to be a friend... few keys for unity and friendship...

1. Be kindhearted to your brothers and sisters in Christ.

1Peter 3:8
Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted; be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to theis, that you may inherit a blessing.

We have to be kind and sweet to our brothers and sisters.... appreciate and love them...

2. Appreciate and thank God for their talents and uniqueness.

1Cor 12:4
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

1Cor 12:18
But now God has set the members, each one of them in the body as He pleased.

3. Being there for them in the difficult times of their life.

Proverbs 17:17
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Proverbs 18:24
A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs 27:9
Ointment and perfume delight the heart, and the sweetness of a man's friend gives delight by hearty counsel.

Proverbs 12:26
The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray.

4. Blessings of God and anointing for success in God will be present with those friendships.

Eccl 4:9-10
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion, but woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Psalm 133:3b
For there (unity and friendship) the Lord commanded the blessing- life forevermore.

Amen
