Jesus broke the power to sin

Romans 6:6
knowing this, that our old man was crucified with HIm, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

When Jesus died on the cross, He took our body of sin and broke the power of sin over the believers life. Thats why I witness new born convert losing desire to smoke or even losing desire to their old lifestyle... this is due to the newcreation nature that came upon the believer...

Romans 6:17
But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

Paul went on to say that when a person believes the gospel and get saved, the person is being delivered from the power of sin. The believer is no more a slave of sin... the believer has power over sin as Jesus has took the body of sin on the cross and crucify it.... the believer has now been delivered from being a slave of sin.... however a believer will still never be perfect, there will still be times the believer will sin against God and make mistakes... this is because we are died to sin but sin still is not dead in us and still tries to reign in our mortal body... this is where virtue comes in... virtus is not innocence but innocence tested... when we are able to resist temptations..
Paul admitted to his own personal struggles...

Romans 7:17-18
But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.

Romans 6:12
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey in its lusts.

Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Perfect love casts out fear

1John 4:18-19
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.

Fear is not how God wants us to live life with.... God is a GOd of love and thats the reason how faith works thru love... when we make mistakes or sin against God... our conscience start to feel guilty and condemn.... God wants us to receive His mercy and forgiveness in that situation... once we confess and repent from our sins... God expects us to move on and receive His mercy and forgiveness... and remind ourselves that we are the righteousness of God....

Romans 5:8-9
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by HIs blood, we shall be justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

We have been saved from wrath thru Jesus sacrifice on the cross, we are saved from wrath of God. Yet this is not a liscense to sin... because sin always have consequence... we reap what we sow...we sow into the flesh we reap corruption, however GOd doesnt want us living guilty and condemn after we have confess and repent... we need to remind ourselves we are the righteousness of GOd in Christ because of what Jesus did.

2Corinthians 5:21
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

You are the righteousness of GOd in Christ.

2Corinthians 5:19
that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Your sins have been punished on the body of Jesus and there is therefore now no condemnation to you who are in Christ. However I repeat this is not a liscense to sin.

Romans 8:1
There is therefore no no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Romans 5:17
For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

do not fear man's opinion...

Proverbs 29:25
The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.

The fear of man is a fear of man's opinion... there are many people struggling with the fear of man... this result in people allowing themselves to be manipulated by another.... however God never wants us to fear man... God wants us to only fear Him and never be afraid of people's opinion towards us...the fear of man can destroy our calling and purpose and destiny... we must always remember to only fear GOd and love people... never fear people... be urself when you are with people...

John 12:42-43
Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess HIm, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Never fear men... always fear God... as you fear GOd and put HIm first... GOd is able to give you favor with men... this is better than being a men pleaser...

a christian perspective

Romans 5:1-2
Therefor, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

God is very clear that it is by faith that we come into grace and we should always rejoice in hope as our sins have been forgiven.... and when God comes back for us we would have glory... but we also glory in this earth before God comes back for us.... We must always remember that the finished and complete work of Christ is wat bought our salvation and we must rest in that truth... you and I have peace with God...PEACE with God... and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God... and into this grace we stand means we keep believing in faith and stand in liberty and freedom.

However there is 2nd part of christianity.... which is the trials that a believer has to go thru.... God is very clear that in trials... He wants us to stay in faith and keep believing until the end... this purpose is for Him to build patience in our hearts... He wants us to keep believing in faith in the trials... watever you are goin thru... always remember God is in control and knows your feelings... He does expect you to believe in faith and trust Him that He will deliver at the right time... meanwhile stand fast in the liberty and walk in obedience by following Holy Spirit...

Romans 5:3-5
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

freedom and liberty...

Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

We must remember that when Jesus died on the cross for all our sins... we are forgiven and do not have to do anything to pay for our sins... the only thing we must do is to believe in Jesus... standing fast in the the liberty means to stay in faith and not to enter our works of the flesh... we need to accept what Jesus has done and His finish work as Pst Ulf mentioned and rest in that truth... as we trust in that truth we are able to flow with the Holy Spirt in peace and not anxiety.... where the Spirit of God is there is freedom... works of the flesh includes activities in the name of God that Holy Spirit doesnt sanction.... activities that bring yoke of bondage... we have to stand fast in the freedom that Christ died to give us...

Galatians 5:13
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

Acts 15:28
For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things.

Patience under trial..

1Peter 2:19-20
For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfuly. For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if y0u take it patiently, this is commendable before God.

There will always be times in our lives that we suffer even when we did all the rite thing.... Jesus had no sin yet was despised and went thru unfair situation... likewise in our lives... we are called to follow Him... there will be situation that you do all the good yet the wrong thing happen... in this time GOd calls you to be patient and in this time is where GOd is looking into your heart and is commending you... always speak a blessing to whomever has persecuted you or been unfair to you... God promises to deliver you out of the situation...at the right time...

1Peter 3:9
not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

God promise to you wld inherit a blessing as you stay patient, hopeful and kind....

forgiving yourself...

Romans 8:1
There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

In life there will be times we make mistakes... times we are careless... times that we do things we regret... however when we find ourselves in a situation of guilt and grieve of our carelessness or our failures or mistakes or even sin... we need to give it to God... if we have been careless... we need to say God... I made a mistake... I give it to you... i give you my grief and i trust you for restoration.... help me not commit the same carelessness... if we sin against GOd, we need to repent and go thru a period of godly sorrow if the sin is very serious and after that we need to receive God's mercy and forgive ourselves.... I know of a great man of God who got a divorce at an early age and was clearly going thru a time of confusion and sadness... He could not forgive himself as the stigma stick by him... he went thru depression for afew years until one day God told him that GOd has a plan B for that man and God wants to restore him... of course God's restoration and love is not a liscense to sin... but this man clearly was goin thru great depression and confusion... he thought his life was over... however this man decided to receive God's mercy and GOd began to do a restoration work in him and today his son took over his ministry and it became the largest church in america... He was John Osteen... friends... whatever mistakes you have made, if you have repent of it and give it to God... you need to receive God's mercy and restoration... God doesnt condemn you... HE loves you.... receive the mercy of God today...
forgive yourself... dun let the devil falsely accuse you for he is the accuser of the brethren... God doesnt condemn you... you are the righteousness of God in Christ...

2Corinthians 5:21
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we miught become the righteousness of God in Him.

Ephesians 1:6
to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

dun worry.... calm down.... relax...

Matthew 6:26-27
"Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature."

God is very clear.... worrying is useless.... doesnt increase your stature or help you... worrying actually causes harm to your health... makes us feel uneasy and stressed out... may even disrupt your sleep...bottomline is worrying does not help u.... worrying is meditating on the negative.... so wats the remedy for worrying?? it is casting your worries to God.... or praying ur feelings to GOd and asking Him to help you...

1Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

As you pray, you are seeking God's Will and His peace will come and guide you.... as you follow His peace, all those things that the world is seeking will be added to you.

Matthew 6:33-34
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

no bondage of fear toward God....

Romans 8:15
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

God doesnt want us to be afraid of Him... infact God wants us to know Him as a Father... as our Daddy... the word "Abba" means "Daddy" or "PaPA"... God is love... Love is patient and kind... Your Daddy is patient and kind... relate to Him like a friend... let Him guide you in your life...
Christianity is a love relationship between you and God...

1 John 4:19
We love Him because He first loved us.

Luke 15:20
And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

Let ur setback be your comeback

Esther 4:1
When Mordecai learned all that had happened, he tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the midst of the city. He cried out with a loud and bitter cry.

Mordecai was a great man who loved God, yet he had a real setback when he found out that Haman wanted to kill all the Jews in the land.... Haman was so powerful and high ranking, except he hated God's people... the news of Haman was a real setback for Mordecai..... maybe you are in a setback situation, where the worse thing had happen to you.... However, the goodnews is God can even turn the setback into a comeback, God can even use your enemies to bless you....

Esther 6:6
So Haman came in, and the king asked him, "What shall be done for the man whom the king delights to honor?" Now Haman thought in his heart, "Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?"

Haman then told the king that the man should be paraded with such great honor... Haman actually thought the king was referring to Haman... ans then the unexpected happen, the King told Haman to parade Mordecai the way Haman described... friends... God can use ur enemy to bless u... stay in hope... keep a good attitude... stay in faith... God is able to turn things around...

Esther 6:12
Afterward Mordecai went back to the king's gate. But Haman hurried to his house, mourning and with his head covered.

Esther 9:4
For Mordecai was great in the king's palace, and his fame spread throughout all the provinces; for this man Mordecai became increasingly prominent.

Repentance and forgiveness

Psalm 32:5
I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord," and You forgave the iniquity of my sin.

When we sin against God, God still loves us and accepts us but He does require us to ask Him to forgive us and confess our sins.... repentance requires us to admit to our wrongdoing before God and say we are sorry and ask for forgiveness.... as we do that God's cleansing and forgiveness will come upon us... and we would have power to overcome that sin...

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We are righteous before God becos of what Jesus did, however that does not excuse us to confess our sins when we commit them... God knows that we reap wat we sow... and a refusal to confess and admit wrong doing before God would lead us to harden our hearts... however God does want us to walk in confidence after we confess our sins... God expect us to receive His mercy and forgiveness and move on feeling righteous and not condemn... God knows the true state of affairs and is willing to forgive and help you do better in that area you are struggling...

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

...deliverance...

Psalm 34:4
I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

God wants to deliver you.... whatever situation you are facing, always remember that GOd is in control....

Psalm 34:6-8
This poor man cried out and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

God wants to deliver you, God wants you to taste Him and know that He is a good God...

Psalm 34:17
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

Psalm 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

God knows that as a believer there are many trials and many afflictions, but GOd want you to remember that He is a good God and He will always deliver you at the right time... stay hopeful and keep believing He is a good God who loves you.

you are someone's miracle

James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

A real spiritual man is a man with compassion for others. Jesus told a story of how a high priest, a levite and a samaritan walked passed a man who was injured and robbed. The high priest and levite did not want to love the injured and robbed man as they were too busy serving the ministry... however the good samaritian took time to help this man... in times of trouble we need to extend our kindness... when you see someone discouraged, put in a good word... when someone is struggling... take an interest into their life.... don't be kind juz to impress others... be sincere and kind when no one is looking... when you see a widow who is lost... help her... when you see orphan... try to touch them... love them... Jesus was always moved with compassion for others... usually its the little things we need to be sensitive to others.... bible says that God is patient and kind.... lets be patient and kind people...

Proverbs 19:17
He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given.

overcoming fear

Isaiah 43:1-2
But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel; "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; Your are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.

Fear is a spirit that attacks our lives.... God hasnt given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and of a sound mind. God promised us His abiding presence as we go thru valleys and waters, and fire.... God promised us protection and His perfect love wld guide us thru.... His perfect love has been poured out on the cross of calvary for you... Meditate on God's perfect love.... know that He love you so much that while you are still not perfect, Jesus died for you... His death for you brought the abundant life and blessing on you...

Romans 8:32
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

1 John 4:18-19
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.

when people forgot...

Genesis 40:14
But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house.

Genesis 40:22-23
But he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them. Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.

Sometimes in life people forgot the things we did for them.... many times people forget the impt things they promise to those who helped them... Joseph went thru a time where the very people he helped had forgotten him... well... the good news is... God is a good God and He remembers.

Hebrews 6:10
For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

God never forgets, at the right time God elavated Joseph and restore him double for wat he went thru... have a good faith attitude and keep believing.

what must I do to please God?

Romans 1:17
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

God is very pleased when we believe His promises... Faith to faith... not faith to doubt and unbelief... we must always believe in that GOd is a good God.... for that pleases God... but how to believe when trial make God look bad... keep believing... joy and peace is found in believing... take God's promise and roll it over and over your mind as faith comes by hearing and hearing God's Word... and keep believing to maintain your joy and peace... God is faithful and whatever He said... He would perform.... keep believing.... dun lose heart...

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that HE is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Psalm 27:13
I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Blessing of Abraham! Yours!

Galatians 3:13-14
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

God's blessing is on the believers because of the finished work of Christ on Calvary. Now you and I carry the blessing of Abraham over our lives.... This includes financial abundance, renewed youth, hedge of protection, close relationship with God. The curse of sin is broken, our debt has been paid, hallelujah! Like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Joseph and people of faith, the blessing is on your life. Thank you, Jesus....

Galatians 3:6-9
just as Abraham "believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness." Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed." So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

Your protector and helper

Psalm 94:17-19
Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul would soon have settled in silence. If I say, "My foot slips," Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

In times of anxiety and pressure.... usually our soul will be affected.... God wants to comfort us and show us His mercy.... David was in a situation where his anxieties were too much to bear... He cried out to GOd and God came and comfort Him with His presence and mercy... today the same God is willing and is here to comfort you with His comfort and mercy. Take time away from your hectic schedule and rest in His presence and rest in Him...

Psalm 61:2
From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Psalm 62:8
Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

Psalm 57:1-2
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by. I will cry out to God Most High, to God who performs all things for me.

your future is in God's hand

Psalm 142:3
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then You knew my path. In the way in which I walk.

God knows your path.... esp when you feel stuck... God already knows the right way for you...

Psalm 143:8
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.

Keep praying.... keep seeking... keep asking God... God has a plan for your life and you can walk in the way that He wants you to walk....

Isaiah 30:20-21
And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.

pray

Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

When you feel lost or confused... when you have alot of worries and concerns that you feel pressured... when you cant seem to find a solution.... when you feel you are at an end.... pray to God... give Him your worries and requests... ask Him whatever you need... dont bottle things up... release to God in prayer... cast your cares on Him for He cares for you.... and the peace of GOd which is from above will guard your heart and mind... will protect you... give you hope....

repeat this prayer with me:
"Father, we pray for our situation.... that GOd as we cast our cares on you... Lord we know that you care for us... Lord we give to you all these fears and worry... Lord we ask you for (requests), help us Lord..let Your Will be done, give us understanding and hope... we trust You.... we know all things will work for the good to those who love GOd and are called according to His purpose." Lord we love you and thank You that You first loved us."

Remember that GOd loves you....

Due season

Proverbs 29:26
Many seek the ruler's favor, but justice for man comes from the Lord.

God has a due season for all of us.... our best days are still ahead of us.... God knows our situation and is concern for us....

Ecclesiates 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

God will always make everything beautiful in its time... as you continue to walk in faith God has a due season for you.

Ecclesiastes 9:11-12
The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all. For man also does not know his time.

Your time is coming...

Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

wisdom after forgiving

1 Samuel 18:11
And Saul cast the spear, for he said, "I will pin David to the wall!" But David escaped his presence twice."

When we forgive our brethren like how Jesus command us, we must forgive everyday... God said if He can forgive us such a great debt, we ought to forgive one another like how He forgives us all.... however after forgiving someone, it doesnt mean that the relationship stays the same... there will be wisdom needed to react after the breach of trust... as we learn about a person we are more careful to not want to allow the same experience to happen or to not be unwise in our dealings with this person's weakness.... i.e if a man keeps borrowing money again and again but do not pay back, you can forgive him the past borrowing but you may have to stop lending him since you know his weakness in not keeping his word. In other words God expects us to forgive from our heart as He forgives us, but God does not expect us to forget what exactly happen as our mind is a recorder. God want us to behave with wisdom for future dealings with this particular brother. If someone keeps lying to you, you can forgive them but it doesnt mean you can afford to trust them the same way you do for another..... But as you forgive, God will make it up whatever losses that was inflicted on you as you continue to have a good attitude before God.

Proverbs 12:26
The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray.

the cure for being poisoned..

Proverbs 12:18
There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health.

Proverbs 25:18
A man who bears false witness against his neighbour is like a club, a sword, and a sharp arrow.

Proverbs 26:22
The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles, and they go down into the inmost body.

Proverbs 18: 21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Words are so powerful... we must be careful not to harm people with it... likewise many of us grow up with words that are harmful to our soul that are directed to us... and when those words come to us we must refuse the words... we must not drink the poison of people's words to hurt and harm us...

Psalm 64:3
Who sharpen their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows- bitter words.

Bitter words are poison to our soul... today God knows what you have went thru and God wants you to let go of the bitter words that was spoken over your life... He wants you to release and forgive what has happen and what was said... God wants to bring healing... but healing comes only by forgiveness.... as you forgive your offenders and release the bitter words that was spoken over you... God will start healing you and stitching the words that cut your heart.... God wants us to forgive daily.... as we forgive daily... we also need to speak the Word of God concerning us in our situation.... your dream will come to pass as you cast down the negative words... repeat these words....

"no weopon formed against me shall prosper, greater is He who is in me then he who is in the world, I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me, God is a God of justice, God will bless me double for my trouble, I am more than a conqueror thru Christ who loved me, all things work together for good for me who love God and are called according to His purpose, my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory in Christ, I will not revile evil for evil, but in the contrary I bless my enemies, those who harmed me, I bless them and forgive them that I may inherit God's blessing."

divine connections

Acts 9:26-27
And when Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples; but they were afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple. But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. And he declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

God has divine connections for you. We dont have to play up to the boss or even people of influence because God has the right divine connections for you so that you can fulfill your destiny and calling. Paul who was Saul was being discriminated by the rest of disciples but GOd had a divine connection in Barnabas for Paul. This allowed Paul to later write 2/3 of the New Testament. Today lets believe God is in control of our life and He would bring the right person at the right time... and keep staying faith for God loves you.... dont be discourage if sometimes breakthru takes so song... sometimes it jus takes a divine connection... juz stay in faith and keep believing. God is directing your steps.

Psalm37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.

living a life of integrity

Genesis 16:13a
Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-sees.

God always know the true state of affairs.... our value system will keep us to walk a life of integrity. Integrity is being the same privately and publicly. The world will do anything to achieve power, money and fame.... but as christians we cannot just do anything to achieve power, money and success.... we must seek first God's kingdom, which means living a life of integrity and honesty and God wld make all these things such as money, power and fame to be added to us. We must walk in integrity knowing that we will reap what we sow....

Genesis 20:6a
And God said to him in a dream, "yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart.

Genesis 39:9-10
There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her.

....obedience in trial....

1Peter 5:7
Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.

Philippians 2:13
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure

God cares for us... The reason He died on the cross is to provide salvation to us... savation is a life of abundance and blessing... however we have to accept that a christian life has its price to pay to increase the level of anointing in our lives... the price to pay is paid on a daily basis as we follow Holy Spirit in trials or mountain tops... following the Holy Spirit is not hard yet it takes an effort.... obedience to God in secret would be rewarded either this life or in heaven...

1Peter 4:12
Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happen to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ;s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.

singing

Psalm 96:1 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth.

Singing praise to GOd wld always lift up our hope and bring us to God's presence... Bibles says put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.... when you are feeling down and discourage or even feeling lost... take time to sing to God... as your sing... the presence of God wld surround you and when His presence come.. hope is renewed... lives are transformed... sing to Him in trials... He is your reward.. and your portion...

Genesis 15:1
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.

generation gap

Malachi 4:6
And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the eharts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.

God is doing a restoring work and healing work in the hearts of fathers and children... there is so much experience and knowledge to learn and receive from the older generation... these passing of torch is only done thru relationships... the Lord is doing a healing work to remove the poison in our hearts... the older generation are letting go of their prejudice to appreciate the young talents and uniqueness.... there is a healing work going on... today forgive and love the natural and spiritual parent that God placed in your life... learn from them and relate to them in what interest them... God is allowing them to appreciate the talents that has been placed by God in the younger generation.... the younger generation must remove pride and ego and self sufficient attitude and humble themselves to receive from the older generation... may we do juz that... May God help us humble ourselves from pride and prejudice....

protect and love your family...

Ephesian 6:2-3
Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise: that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.

Our parents are so so precious... we must love them above and beyond... Our parents took care of us and raise us up... we must remember to love them and take care of them.... we cannot love our ministry or our work more then we love our parents... we cannot put career above our parents and family...we must set aside time for our family... as christians we must never put our parents in old folks home... we have a responsibility to love them and appreciate them and take time to spend with them.... lets be loyal to our family... lets defend their honor... lets stand up for them... never demean and bad mouth your family members... maybe some of us have parents who did not really take care of us... lets not do the same back to them... it is GOd who choose your parents to be your parents... and your spouse to be your spouse... parents are not perfect but always love them....

Ephesian 5:25
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.

Proverbs 23:22
Listen to your father who begot you, and do not despise your mother when she is old.

true friendship...

Proverbs 18:24
A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs 17:17
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

True friendship is born out of crisis.... usually when you are in your season of good times you will have so much friends that you dun know who are your true friends.... only in crisis you really can see who is there to help you... its very hard in today's society to find loyal true friends... On mountain top there are so many people around you and appreciating you... but in the valley its like so lonely... so we must be sensitive to those around us who are in the valleys and be loyal to them... stand up for them... dont allow gossip without standing up for those you love.... may God forgive us when we were disloyal... lets start being a loyal true friend to others... lets be loyal to our family........ our church.... our boss... our company.... lets be prepared to die for our family and defend them.... if we cant count on our family in times of need... who can we count on... lets sow seeds to them....

very present help..

Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Your closest friend is Jesus.. He is so close to you that you can pray in your heart to Him in any situation.... you can communicate with Him... asking for help... ask Him to lead you... how to behave in a certain situation... wat to say... God is always there and wants you to yield to Him... maybe when you go thru an interview in a job.. you can hear from your heart the wisdom God has for you as you converse with the interviewer.. You can always pray silent prayer to God and He would always have an answer for you... never underestimate silent prayers in ur heart or any form of prayer.... God is not hard to reach... He loves you.. made it possible thru the cross to have an intimate relationship with you...

Psalm 50:15
"Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."

when the wicked prosper...

Psalm 37:7
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Psalm 73:3
For I was envious of the boastful, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

The bible is very clear that sometimes the wicked prosper... usually when such situation happens it confuse the living daylights out of us... esp if you r really on the ball type... ...

Psalm 73:16
When I thought how to understand this, it was too painful for me.

Its really painful at times how to accept it... even the Psalmist said it was painful to accept that the wicked prosper... while God's sincere godly believers was plagued and chastened every morning... however God will always be faithful at the right time... the wicked who seemed to prosper is but for a moment...

Psalm 73:17
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I understood their end.

Psalm 37:9-10
For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more.

Today... if u r goin thru a situation like this... wan to encourage u to seek God and stick by Him... Let Him comfort you and assure you...

Psalm 73:28
But it is good for me to draw near to God, I have put my trust in the Lord God.

...learning in trial...

Psalm 119:67
Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word.

Psalm 119:71
It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes.

Sometimes when we go thru affliction or trial God wants teach us things... In difficulties and stress we must stick close to the hope of God's Word. Heaven and earth will pass away but not His promises.

Psalm 119:75
I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.

When God allows a trial... treat it as a compliment... becos the greater the trial means the greater the destiny.... never give up on the hope... keep believing He is faithful...

Romans 5:3-5
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulation, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope doesn not disappoint, because the love of GOd has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

God loves you and keep believing that He is good for faith pleases God....

...comfort in pain...

Psalm 119:92
Unless Your law had been my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction.

Psalm 119:49-50
Remember the word to Your servant, upon which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life.

In times of stress and pain... there is a place to seek comfort... that is the place where we take in God's Word and promise... David said that it was God's Word that helped sustained David in the lonely nites and difficulties... I wonder what you are goin thru.. .but God's Word and promise is there for us.... try to remember what is the promise that God has promised you specifically.. that wld build your faith... the greater the trial, the greater the destiny.... keep comforting yourself with His Word meanwhile...

Psalm 119:140-141
Your word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it. I am small and despised yet I do not forget Your precepts.

Psalm 119:143
Trouble and anguish have overtaken me, yet Your commandments are my delights.

Psalm 119:148
My eyes are awake through the night watches, that I may meditate on Your word.

God is interested in wat concerns you...

Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon Himm, for He cares for you.

God knows whatever that is bothering you... God doesnt want you and I to be worried nor anxious... He wants us to be peaceful... cast your burdens to Him today... thank Him for everything... give Him watever your desire today... God's peace will help you as you cast your cares on Him.... God's peace is above all understanding... God loves you... cast your cares... come to Jesus all you who are weary and heavy laden... Let Jesus rest your soul today...

....let God lead...

Philippians 2:13
For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

2Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, aand through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

God is always leading us and speaking to us thru the Holy Spirit... whether we are watching tv or doing our daily work or even reading the Bible if we would be sensitive we can pick up God's leading... Jesus said: "My sheep hears My voice." God wants us to leads us in triumph in every situation and every trial... as we refuse to be anxious and refuse to worry in every situation we can relax and allow Holy Spirit to guide us gently how to react in certain situation... wat choice to make in certain situation... wat decision to choose... and when we follow God.. He loves to lead us to triumph... even in crisis.. He is leading you out to triumph...

The kindness of GOd...

Ephesians 2:4-7
But God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ, and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come HE might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

God overflows when He gave His love to us... we are very fortunate to have a loving God who is rich in mercy... who loves us with His great love... forgives our trespasses... and made us alive in Christ... and now we are sitting in the heavenly places in Him... as we are sitting spiritually in Him... now God still wants to show us the exceeding riches of HIs grace in His kindness to us.... this is all paid by wat Jesus did on the cross... taking our punishment... offering such love to us.... and blessings to us.... lets always meditate in this love as this perfect love cast out all fear... as we meditate on this love... it drives out all fear... receive this love by believing...

God we thank you for your goodness and kindness to us.... thankyou... for ur exceeding riches of your grace and kindess to us... we thank you...

...drawing close....

2Samuel 6:11-12
The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household. Now it was told King David, saying, "The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God."

God loves His people.... By the blood of Jesus we are able to be close to Him... as we cultivate the presence of GOd by nearing near to Him... the presence of God will always bless everything in our household.... we must never seek the blessing... we must always seek the Blesser.... as we draw near to Him... HE will always draw near to us....as He draw near to us... all we touch will be bless and anointed.... lets always set aside moments to be close to His Word... and His presence...

James 4:8
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Ephesians 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

....double for your trouble...

Isaiah 61:7-8
Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs.
For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery for burnt offering; I will direct their work in truth, and will make with them an everlasting covenant.

God keeps a record on your life.... And God loves to pay double for every trial you go thru... someone once said that before very breakthru and blessing the trial will be even fiercer.... so whatever you are goin thru... remember that your reward is double at the end of the tunnel.... treat your trial as a determine factor for your reward to give yourself hope and joy.... I remember David who was in serious trial... losing his wife... fleeing from Saul... with 400 of his own men who wanted to stone him as their families were captures by the Amalekites.... In this trial... David strengthen himself in the Lord and and obeyed God and got back all that was lost... David eventually became the king of Israel... today... watever you are facing... strengthen yourself in the Lord... God wants to give you double for your trouble...

2Samuel 5:10
So David went on and became great, and the Lord God of hosts was with him.

vs 12
So David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, and that He had exalted His kingdom for the sake of His people Israel.

loving people

James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

God is very interesting.... To Him wat really matters is concern for people who are needy... to God.... loving the hurting and needy means alot to God.... when we get involve in someone's trouble or problem... this makes God happy.... Jesus told a story of an injured man who was robbed... there were 3people who walked passed him... A certain priest, a Levite and a Samaritan. Both the priest and Levite walked passed the injured man and was unwilling to help... they were too busy for the house of GOd and too busy to help hurting people... Only the good Samaritan had compassion on the hurting and helped him all the way to the hospital and took care of him... Jesus was aware that being a religious person does not mean that he is a loving person... the pharisee was also an example who did alot of religious rites but could not be bothered with the hurting...

Luke 11:42
But woe to you Pharisee! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God.

Jesus was always moved with compassion and willing to help hurting people... Lets love people always... knowing God knows and loves it...Lets allow God's heart of compassion to fill our hearts.

Matthew 25:40
And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.

living for the audience of one

Matthew 23:5
But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.

God is very aware of the conditions of our heart.... we must remember never to live life juz to make an impression on others on how spiritual or how anointed we are or how good we are and so forth...

Matthew 6:1-2,5
Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

God wants us to learn to do good deed privately at times.... doing good to others privately may sometimes hurt becos people may not be so appreciative at times.... usually when we do works to be seen of men will we then be praised and acknowledged publicly... however God sees all things... and God said the deeds we do to be seen of men will not have His reward since we have praise from men already.... when we have a private walk with God... God will always be dealing with our motives.... God expects us to trust Him when we do right and get mistreated or not appreciated.... God expects us to trust even when it seems unfair.... but we must trust bcos God promise us justice... He will always reward you at the right time.... never lift up urself .... humble yourself in God's eyes and let Him do the promoting and bringing the justice.

Matthew 6:3-4
But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

Trust God for all unfair situation.... He is your true and faithful friend... He is trustworthy... He will do what is fair at the right time.... God is speaking to you....

...No condemnation...

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

God has condemn our sins and failures on the body of Jesus.... past, present and future.... sin is very bad... it destroys lifes and have brings bad consequences.... however God knows that after He punished our sins on the cross we don't have to live under condemnation as Jesus took our condemnation on Himself.... the least bit we can respond to God is to live by righteousness, peace and joy... that is the right respond.. that is faith respond which pleases God... what if we commit sin after becoming christian? Do we need to feel condemn? ... all sin still have consequence... however God doesnt wan a believer to live under condemnation... He does want the believer to be convicted and repent, get out of the sin and move on believing in His forgiveness... all sin have consequence ... but God still wants us to focus on the fact that we are made righteous by the finished work of His Son..when we do fail in our christian life... we must learn to repent..... accept the consequence... but also forgive ourselves and receive the mercy of God.... we must remember God still sees us based on wat He did on the cross.... as righteous child of God.... God doesnt want believers to live under guilt and condemnation... He doesnt want us to serve Him becos we feel guilty and condemn in our conscience.... He wants us to knw we are the righteousness of God in Christ.... we are blessed.... forgiven... redeemed.... He wants us to walk by faith....serve Him becos He love us and we love Him, believing we are righteousness of God in Christ... thats why faith pleases God...... never serve GOd becos you want Him to do things for you... He is more willing to answer ur prayer due to His love for u.... God has paid your healing, your blessing, your forgiveness on the cross... your job is to believe and receive it thru Christ... You cant pay for your blessing, forgiveness and healing... you can only believe and receive by faith as God has already purchased for you on the cross.... it is by grace thru faith, not works, lest any should boast... so now when you serve God or do good works... its a matter of sowing and reaping and rewards... not to earn or pay for your healing or forgiveness or blessings.... forgiveness and healing and blessings is paid by God on the cross and received by grace thru faith...

....hope in hopeless times....

1Peter 5:6-7
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.

Hope in hopeless situation requires a belief that God is concern for your lives... the truth of the matter is God really is concern and in times of trials we can humble ourselves under His mighty hand... cast our cares and worries... and at due time God would exalt or deliver us from a particular situation.... whatever you are going thru... God cares for you... and wants to exalt you in due time... remember to cast your cares to Him... refuse to be anxious....

I remember Apostle Paul.... who was in jail when he wrote to the Philippians to never worry and be anxious.... Paul was not in his comfort when he said do not be anxious... in fact... there was a chance in that situation of Paul that he might lose his life the next day.... instead he encourage the churches to never worry and never be anxious....

Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Today instead of worry... replace with prayer and thanksgiving... thank GOd for what He has accomplished on the cross... forgiving our sins... redeeming us from the curse... giving us a blessing thru Jesus... in your requests... thank God for all that He has done thru Jesus... allow His peace to reign and protect your mind... I remember Jesus on how He told us to not allow our hearts to be troubled... in other words as believer we can decide not to be anxious and decide not to allow our hearts be troubled... we can trust and believe that all things work together for good...

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

His peace has already been given to you.... what you must do is let not your heart be troubled... cast your cares... let your request be made known... thank Him all He did on the cross... and let the peace of God will reign in your heart and mind....

Contentment by Him

Hebrews 13:5
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

As christians we must always be thankful for the very fact of His presence that is with us becos of what Jesus did on the cross.... His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us helps us know that we don't have to desire after wrong things... which is covetousness... covetousness is the lust for someting that we cant be happy without it... God wants us to know His presence and love can satisfy us... we do not need a bunch of things... we need His presence... to abide with Him can satisfy our hunger...

1 Timothy 6:6
Now godliness with contentment is great gain.

Desire is not wrong... but lust is... the difference is very simple... desire can wait while lust cannot... i.e Abraham had a desire to be Father of many nation... it can be a lust if he cant wait patiently and push by his own strength to produce one outside of God's timing.... God had to assure Abraham that God]s presence is Abraham's ultimate reward.. and Abraham's desire will come to pass in God's timing.... meanwhile rest in God's presence...

Genesis 15:1
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, "DO not be afraid, Abram, I am your shield, your exceeding great reward."

God is saying the same thing to you.... watever your desire is... God knows... God does not want it to be lust... so you must learn to love His presence and be contented in His presence till the right time the promise come.... be contented with His presence above ur desire.... Ultimately God will surely bring His promise for your life at the right time... meanwhile... be contented by His presence... for He will never leave you nor forsake you :)

........If you are.........

Matthew 4:3
Now when the tempter came to HIm, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."

Insecurity drives people to prove and prove.... The devil loves to attack believers in this area of proving to other people... Jesus was being asked again and again... if you are the Son of God... prove it... prove it.... prove it... when Jesus was at the cross... the pharisee shouted at Him... if You are the Son of God... prove it.. cum down from the cross... prove it.... to overcome the insecurity in our hearts... esp when devil shouts at us... if you are... if you are... prove it... prove it... we must remember to be like Jesus... Jesus trusted in God and refused to prove it to the devil... in essence... Jesus maintained His security in God.... you must refuse to do things to prove who you are... let God be God... fight the devil... but don't do things to prove your worth... your worth is in God... not in wat you do...

Trust the Lord... lean back and believe... only do what you need to do when God leads you to do something... never do things out of a desire to prove to the devil or to people... only do things when God leads you... or you will never breakthru in this area...calm down... believe... trust... adn wait for GOd.... He will never let you down at the right time...

Abraham made a mistake when he proved he is a father of many nation by get Hagar pregnant...
The devil kept attacking his mind... if you are the father of many nation... why you have no children... come on... prove it... prove it... and Abraham couldnt take it... and made a mistake... He should calm down and wait on God... and it will come at the right time...

Hope this message helps u... God wants you to live a good life of faith and trust and depending on His love...

insecurity

John 13:3-5
Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

Jesus was God and owned the whole universe.... yet in that power and rank He is in... He could humble Himself to serve.... Only secure people are willing to serve other people... When you see people trying to show themselves to be somebody with things..or people with superiority complex or even inferiority complex.... pray for them.. these people are not secure in who they are... we see how people buy big houses and big cars which they cannot afford to prove themselves to be somebody... that is so silly... our worth should not be from the ferrari... the big house... or the people we hang around with... our security comes from GOd.... Do not find your security in wat you have or your position... you are very precious in GOd's eyes... there is nothing wrong in good things... but that is not the place to find your worth... don't ever buy big house and big car you cannot afford juz to prove a point... nothing wrong with big house or big car... but dun put your value in them... you are very valuable in GOd's eyes... that ahould satisfy your soul... the need to get approval from others for value could destroy your calling in GOd.... as your find your security in GOd's unconditional love for you....the Lord would cause all those outward things will be added to you... bcos God loves you... He doesnt wan you to prove your value to others... He knows your heart and loves you... Let Him satisfy your heart... being rooted and grounded with His love...

healing the wounded soul

1Corinthians 1:3-4
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

God cares when we hurt.... bible says we do not have a high priest who cannot understand... God understands when people hurt us with words... bible says life and eath are in the power of the tongue... words can hurt... esp words from legitimate authority or close ones.... when David was pursued by Saul... he was very wounded and hurt...

Psalm 109:22
For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

He was wounded by his supposed leader... king Saul... there was another occasion where David's own son Absalom wanted to ussurp the throne... that hurt David deeply too... even when Absalom died... David was very grieved and wounded.... today.. this devotion is dedicated to bring you God's comfort... God is veryveryvery interested to bring healing... Jesus said.. .I came to heal the broken hearted... in receiving healing... God requires us to forgive our abusers and release a blessing over their life... David had to forgive Saul... He struggled... He even cut off Saul's robe to show his anger... But God has a better way... if you are in a situation where you are being abused.. run from it... but do not curse back... always forgive and bless the abuser.... healing takes time...sometimes even years... the way out is to keep forgiving... keep praying a prayer of blessing over those who hurt you... one day the sting of that pain will not be there... the memories will always be there but the sting and pain of it would be healed by God as you keep forgiving and keep praying.... God always wants us to stand up for others... but HE wants us not to stand up for ourselves but to give place to wrath... unforgiveness is no use... Joyce Meyer said unforgiveness is like drinking poison hoping ur enemy wld die... let God be your vindicator... keep forgiving... keep praying for them a blessing.... and keep receiving the comfort of God... God wants to bless you like He blessed Jesus... Joseph... David... remember your breakthru is on the way.... and meanwhile when you hurt.... by the memories... know that Jesus feels the pain with you and reminds you He loves you and is healing you....receive His love and healing.... love your enemies... do good to those who hate you... pray for those who spitefully use you... but be like David... if you need to flee to avoid abuse...please flee... David flee... Jesus walked away from Pharisee who persecute Him... Be tolerant but remember God wants you to flee from abuse.... God loves you... and He never likes it when you get hurt by others... But as a believer He gives you the ability to forgive and love... and blessing of God will be release on your life like how God recompensated Joseph... He would do the same for you.... God loves you... keep your hopes up...

The fear of the Lord

Romans 8:15
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

The fear of the Lord is not the bondage of fear.... the fear of the Lord is a worshipful reverence and respect for God... The fear of the Lord is not a dreadful fear of God that brings bondage and condemnation on a believers life.... the Spirit of Adoption helps us relates to God as a wonderful loving Father... not a dreadful judge... God has delivered us from wrath to obtain salvation thru Jesus Christ...

Romans 5:9
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

God does not want us to fear Him with the bondage of fear... but GOd does want us to have a worshipful reverence for Him.... this is very impt for believers as we perfect holiness in the worshipful reverence and respect for God... not the wrath of God...

2Corinthians 7:1
Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting hoiness in the fear of God.

Many sincere God loving believers struggle with the condemnation and fear.... the fear that brings torment is not the fear of the Lord...Always remember the difference.... between the fear of the Lord and the spirit of bondage to fear... its 2 different thing... God's perfect love will cast out all fear in your life... all spirit of bondage to fear is taken away by God's unconditional love in Jesus... God loves you...

1John 4:18-19
There is no fear in love; but perfect love cast out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.

God does not want us believers to have that fear that torments us... His perfect love cast out all wrong fear... However like all wonderful Father... we should give our devotion and worshipful reverence for our Abba Father....thats the fear of the Lord... a healthly worshipful respect and reverence for God....

Let God bring justice for you

Romans 12:19
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.

I remember the story of Joseph how God was willing to bring justcie to him after all the mistreatment he undergone... I remember how God brought justice to David after all the years of persecution... God is a God who loves justice... as a christian.. one of our calling is to be patient and kind and sometimes suffer in patient when there is mistreatment... we must learn to trust the Lord... I remember Abraham... how Lot wanted to get his possession and how Abraham was blessed even more when he did not fight back at Lot....

1Peter 2:21-23
For to this you were called, because Christ suffered for us, leaving an example, that you should follow His steps; "Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth";
who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously.

Maybe some of you have undergone so severe unfairness and injustice... I want to encourage you that God knows the true state of affairs... GOd wants to bring justice to you... I wan to encourage you not to fight for justice but to wait on God.... I remember David... how when Absalom was stirring rebellion against him... how David declared that he would trust the Lord... He was unwilling to fight for the kingdom... He wanted to wait on God for justice... David said if God has no more delight in David... so be it... i want to encourage you... in watever situation you are in to wait for God to step in... God is a good God... and He wants to bring justice in your life.... He wants to make your wrongs right... Let Him settle your case... Let Him be your vindicator... He is faithful... He would give you double for your trouble...stay kind and patient.. and bless and do not curse... God would bring justice to your life....

God validated your existence

Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations."

When you were yet born... God already knew you... He has validated your existence... He formed you to be someone very special for Him.... juz like Jeremiah... ordained a prophet before he was born.... God has a special plan for you in this time of His calender...

Acts 17:26
And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and boundaries of their dwellings.

God has determine your preappointed times and the boundaries you are to be born.... whether you are in born in singapore... raised in singapore or even born outside asia... God has determine all these before you were born, and the boundaries of your dwellings... this is so that you can fulfill your purpose in Him... God wants you to know that He has a great plan for your life... preplan before you were born... the calling of God is irrevocable... always remember... God validated your existence...

Psalm 139:16
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

Beautiful person

1Peter 3:6
As Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.

Being a daughter of a family gives you the gene or the DNA of that family... I want to encourage you by letting you know that you have the DNA of your spiritual heritage...of Sarah.. wats the privilege of being a daughter of Sarah? Mainly, her beauty....

Bible says in Genesis that Sarah was beautiful to behold... she was so beautiful that in her old age of being 60plus that 2 kings wanted her to be their wife... Her youth was renewed every year... the 2kings that wanted her was not spiritual... they saw her outward beauty and desired after her... I want to tell you the good news... that God calls you the daugther of Sarah... God calls your wife the daughter of Sarah... they carry the same DNA. In Galatians 4:31, it speaks of being the child of Sarah again... On the cross, Jesus took our curse to give us that blessing.... Bible says there was no beauty in Jesus on the cross that no did desired Him but despised Him... He took that curse on Himself... and the Bible says that on the cross God gives us beauty for ashes... my Friends... thank God for wat He did... we can live in hope.... keep believing.. God will renew your youth and bring His beauty on you like how HE did it for Sarah....

Isaiah 61:3
To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes.....

vs 7
Instead of your shame you shall have double honor....

God knows the things you have need of before you ask Him

Matthew 6:8
Therefore do not be like them, for your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

Matthew 6:9-10
In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done 0n earth as it is in heaven.

God knows the things you need of... even before you ask Him... thats so comforting... in times when you have a desire yet you do not really know the Will of GOd... God wants to assure you that He already knows your desire and needs... God cares for the little details of your heart... however in times of making decision... we must pray God... let Your Will be done not my will but Your will... this is very impt... becos in life there will be so much opportunities and so very often we do not know which choice to make.... and sometimes we make decision based on feelings or even based on current emotion... remember that God knows you and ur feelings... He wants u to take it to Him and say... "God, let Your Will be done in this situation... I do not really knw or understand wat to do... but I want to do the right thing... Let Your Will be done... In Jesus name".

God hasnt forgotten you

Psalm 136:23
Who remembered us in our lowly state, for His mercy endures forever.

God is so kind and good that He doesnt forgets us in whatever state we are in... sometimes in society we dont really give attention to pple who are in lower state then we are in... we tend to give attention only to the elite grp of people and neglect the people who are in lower state... this is sad but its true... however... the good news is God is not like that.... GOD IS A WONDERFUL GOD.... A WONDERFUL HEAVENLY FATHER.... hallelujah! God knows you deeply and intimately and loves u genuinely.... Love is patient and kind... God is patient and kind... Love rejoices in truth and not in inquity... God's love wants you to make good decisions in life...

Psalm 139:1-5
O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down. And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me.

vs13-14
For you formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.

God loves you....Your breakthru is on the way...you are not forgotten... trust in HIm and believe His goodness and enter the rest of God...

Let God perform for u

Hebrews 6:15
And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Abraham was a person who waited and waited and waited so long for his promise child to come... But the good news is that God is true to His word and it came to pass... I wonder what is the promise GOd has for you that like Abraham... you are waiting and waiting... and sometimes like Abraham... you feel weary in your soul... today God wants to encourage your spirit that He will perform for you... He does not want you to conform to a performance based christianity but He wants to perform His promise in your life for you... at the appointed time... lets endure patiently together....

Psalm 57:2
I will cry out to God Most High, to God who performs all things for me.

God will perform His promise over your life.

Psalm 75:2 , 6-7
When I choose the proper time, I will judge uprightly.

For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west not from the south. But God is the Judge; He puts down one, and exalts another.

God wants to promote you... your appointed time is coming... never ever give up.... remember that the greater the promise the greater the trial... remember Joseph... who endured such pain was lifted up so high... how Jesus endured such hostility with sinners and how God exalts Him... your time is coming.... Calm yourself down and trust in Him.... in quietness and confidence shall be your strength,

Psalm 131:1-3
Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty, neither do I concern myself with great matters, nor with things too profound for me. Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time forth and forever.

Treasure your dreams

Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

God knows the desires of your heart... He is the one who puts this desires into your heart... wat is your dream... your aspiration... your desires today? maybe some is to serve GOd fulltime as a preacher or a pastor... maybe a rich businessman... or maybe to be a homemaker with 4kids.... whatever your dreams are... God is very clear in His word that He wants to give u those desires... He wants to bring it to pass... I remember Abraham... who always wanted a child of his own... struggling in his mind when its taking too long...

Genesis 15:1-2
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying "Don't not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." But Abram said, Lord God, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?"

Today God is saying the same thing to you... Do not be afraid... I am with you...

Genesis 15:5
Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be."

God is saying the same thing to you.... look at the Word... it shall come to pass your dreams and desires...

Genesis 18:14
Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."

GOd is saying the same thing to you... at the appointed time... it will surely come to pass... wait on the Lord... nothing is impossible for God.. He is for you not against you... Do not fear... keep believing... your appointed time is coming

Trust God's timing

Sometimes in life we tend to ask God when will our breakthru come... when wld the promotion come... when would the breakthru come...when wld the life partner come.... and we tend to feel anxious and worried about God's promises... I want to encourage you today to trust God's timing...

Psalm 31:14-15
But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, "You are my God." My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.

I wan to encourage you today that your times are in God's hand... the time for that promotion, for that life partner... for that major breakthru... for the promise of GOd... they are all in God's hand... we must learn not to push for things to happen by our own strength... say for example.. someone mistreated you... by your own strength you can strike back... or you can lean back and trust God for vindication... its really a matter of trusting God's timing... another example wld be Abraham and his promise child... He was so impatient that he made it happen rather then wait on God to provide.. He went by the fleshly way to promise a child... he slept with Hagar and produce Ismael the child of the flesh... so many times in life when we get impatient we start trying to make things happen rather then trust GOd's timing... we start giving birth to Ismael s rather than Isaacs... Today God wants you to trust His timing and enter the rest of faith... when anxiety attack comes... God wants you to believe and enter the rest of God... the rest of faith.. as we do that the promise child will come in God's timing... dun worry about it... it shall surely come to pass....

Habakkuk 2:3
For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But in the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come to pass, It will not tarry.

Meanwhile enter the rest of faith by believing.

Hebrews 4:3
For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said.

Manasseh and Ephraim

Genesis 41:51-52
Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: "For God has made me forget all my toil and all my father's house." And the name of the second he called Ephraim: "For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction."

In times of loss or tragedy God wants to restore and bring healing and bring fruitness in our life... In Joseph's example... God helped him to forget the pain of the past and caused him to be fruitful in where he was then.... Watever loss you been thru in life... God has a plan... He wants to help u... and is able to make you fruitful in ur situation... don't allow yourself to be bitter... God is able to change things around... trust God... you would see your Manasseh and Ephraim come....

God is able and is very aware of your situation... do not have a sour and bitter spirit... have a kind spirit... And believe in the midst of the pain.... pray for your enemies, bless those who persecute you and ridicule you... don't strike back... be patient... your breakthru is on the way...

Genesis 50:19-21
Joseph said to them, "Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but GOd meant it for good in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones." And he COMFORTED them and spoke KINDLY to them.

Joseph was kind to people who were not kind to him... allow God to bring ur Manasseh and Ephraim for you..... it would be far and beyond your imagination...

Direction in midst of confusion

Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

In our christian life, we do face trials.... these trials sometimes are like valleys that look so deep and dark that it feels like death at times. However its juz a shadow of death.... In such situations, usually our minds will start to get attacked... confusion usually comes in... the devil starts yelling thots of defeat and depression.... in such circumstance it is very impt to keep believing in God's goodness.... keep reminding yourself that after the trial there is a mountain top....

Psalm 27:13
I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

keep believing... GOd is a good God... Psalms 25:4-5 can always be a prayer against confusion...

Psalms 25:4-5
Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; On you I wait all the day.

1Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon Him, for He CARES for you.

Romans 5:5
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of GOd has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Whatever you are goin thru now... there is the other side of the coin... whatever that is confusing.. God has an answer.... the promise of God will strengthen you...

Psalms 119:71
It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes.

Psalms119:75-76
I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.
Let I pray, Your merciful kindness be for my comfort.

Psalm 119:49-50
Remember the word to Your servant, upon which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has given me life.

Psalm 119:92
Unless Your law had been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.

Psalms 119:147
I rise before the dawning of the morning, and cry for help; I hope in Your Word.

God loves you... keep believing... hope does not disappoint... becos of His love.

You are God's child of promise

Galatians 4:28
Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.

Wow! Priase the Lord... we are not children of the flesh but of promise.... Ismael was the child from Hagar and was a child of the flesh... Flesh represents man's effort doing God's job... Abraham was promised a child but he got impatient and he tried to receive God's promise by the flesh and slept with Hagar instead of waiting for the right time.... God calls u and I... children of the promise... Hallelujah...

As child of promise like Isaac.. you are entitled to the same blessing of Abraham like Isaac was entitled... So when you are generous to God... to His church... His people... you are sowing like Isaac is sowing...

Genesis 26:12-14
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So Philistines envied him.

God wants you to know that He loves you and wants to bless you like He did for Isaac... the price for that blessing is paid by Jesus... He took your curse and my curse on the cross that we may receive the blessing of Abraham by believing in Jesus...

Don't react in the flesh like Abraham and try to receive your inheritance by the flesh (own strength)... God wants you to believe in Him and He will lead you to profit in His way....

However there will be persecution from fleshly people... what you need to do is be kind to them... Juz like Abraham was kind to greedy Lot and did not allow strife...

Galatians 4:29
But as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.

There will be persecution... people who want you to go by own strength... rather then wait on God for deliverance... pressure to give birth to Ismael rather then wait for Isaac. Be kind to them... God will bless you even more like how He bless Abraham when Lot departed from him...

You are precious!

Matthew 10:30
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

1John 4:10
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1John 4:19
We love Him because He first loved us.

God really loves you... Don't allow yourself to feel bad about urself... always remember that you are very precious in His eyes... If you are the only one that is on the earth, God will still come down to earth to die for you.... You will never know how precious or how much GOd loves u... until you know how much He love Jesus... Becos God gave Jesus up for you...

We all made mistake or fallen in life... that doesnt stop God's love for us... Don't take your failures too seriously...learn from your past, but dont be stuck in it... God knows the talents He placed in you... and don't feel too much when things don't go your way... remember David.. He loved God but God allowed him to lose everything before His promise in David's life finally come to pass... Keep believing in hope....:)

Today wld be a new day for you... you are a newcreation... old things have passed away... all things become new... Your are more than a conqueror... God has great things in store for you... You are the head and not the tail... above and not beneath... God has something better in store if the timing seems abit long... keep yourself in hope... God is proud of you... Expect God's favor and your dream to come to pass...... Hope does not disappoint, becos the love of God is poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit... God is for you not against you...

Rich dad Poor Dad

I finished reading the book rich dad and poor dad in one day which is yesterday... it was such an amazing book to read to gain wisdom.

Proverbs 23:4
Do not overwork to be rich; because of your own understanding, cease!

God wants us to work hard but not overwork... infact God wants us to work hard and work smart... when we only work very hard and overwork we often fall prey to a rat race that never ends... in that I mean we live from paycheck to paycheck and do not have other streams of income source that can help us pay our liabilities and therefore we are stuck in the rat race.... we cannot quit our job becos we have liabilities... so this process goes on and on.... there is a smarter way that God has in mind.

Proverbs 9:11
For by me your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you.

God's way is always to multiply... to be rich God's way is actually to accumulate assets. 4ways to be rich.

1. Work.
Proverbs 13:11
Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, but he who gathers by labor will increase.

Proverbs 13:4
The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.

We must be diligent in our work... earn a decent income... if possible own a business as it can generate income for you and you would be working for yourself and become an employer of others. If you have desire t be business owner, pls learn to take risk... but if you prefer to be salaried staff... its ok... but you would be at mercy of employee... make sure you do well too... as God can give you favor and lift you up the cooperate ladder like Joseph...

2. Give
Proverbs 11:24-25
There is one who scatters yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.

Be a cheerful giver. Learn to be generous in giving money away... give to church your tithes and offerings... treat it as sowing and not juz sacrifice... when you sow you will reap... to be a good business man you must be generous and not stingy.... God loves a cheerful giver and would bless the work of your hand.

3. Save and invest
Invest in assets... try to go for stocks, bonds, equities, unit trust, real estate... if possible go for high risk before you are 30years old... that would give you a better chance if you were to fail in your investment to recover... but if before 30 you made a good returns and accumulated assets you would be so happy that you took the risk and others would feel that should have.... Learn from parable of the talents, how 5talents reap another 5talents... dont always go for safe bonds, learn to study how to invest and become a wise investor so you can invest in high risk stocks for high returns before 30... also remember to buy insurance for family protection... remember to buy 5-10years of income protection.... try to attain properties to rent out.... avoid liability incuding high cost mortgages and loans if possible...esp for luxury car... not worth to take loan as it becomes liability instead of asset..... buy a luxury car only after asset is huge enough that in can generate the income for you to buy. Build and accumulate assets... lower your expenses by generating income from your assets... refuse liability unless personal house loan (no choice), but avoid luxury items as it becomes a liability and expense each month.

4. Spent

Enjoy your money.
Eccelesiasres 3:13
And also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his babor- it is the gift of God.
