The fear of the Lord

Romans 8:15
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

The fear of the Lord is not the bondage of fear.... the fear of the Lord is a worshipful reverence and respect for God... The fear of the Lord is not a dreadful fear of God that brings bondage and condemnation on a believers life.... the Spirit of Adoption helps us relates to God as a wonderful loving Father... not a dreadful judge... God has delivered us from wrath to obtain salvation thru Jesus Christ...

Romans 5:9
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

God does not want us to fear Him with the bondage of fear... but GOd does want us to have a worshipful reverence for Him.... this is very impt for believers as we perfect holiness in the worshipful reverence and respect for God... not the wrath of God...

2Corinthians 7:1
Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting hoiness in the fear of God.

Many sincere God loving believers struggle with the condemnation and fear.... the fear that brings torment is not the fear of the Lord...Always remember the difference.... between the fear of the Lord and the spirit of bondage to fear... its 2 different thing... God's perfect love will cast out all fear in your life... all spirit of bondage to fear is taken away by God's unconditional love in Jesus... God loves you...

1John 4:18-19
There is no fear in love; but perfect love cast out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.

God does not want us believers to have that fear that torments us... His perfect love cast out all wrong fear... However like all wonderful Father... we should give our devotion and worshipful reverence for our Abba Father....thats the fear of the Lord... a healthly worshipful respect and reverence for God....
